Thinking About Spring? It's Time to Get Your Home In Shape

Open Spring Image.jpeg

On Groundhog Day, Punxsutawney Phil didn’t see his shadow. It’s hard to resist the adorable gopher and his prediction for an early spring. It immediately got me thinking about spring cleaning. Like Groundhog Day, spring cleaning is a time honored tradition. We greet the warmer weather by organizing, tossing out things we no longer need, putting away the winter clothes, and making everything in our homes sparkle and shine. During this process, you may find your home isn’t working as well as it could to support your lifestyle or that you are craving a new look for your bedroom, living room, or home office.

Starting your spring cleaning now will motivate you to get your house in shape for the warmer months.

The few remaining weeks of winter are the perfect time to start planning and designing any updates you want to make to your home. The adage “timing is everything” is as true for designing as it is comedy. If you are thinking about doing a renovation that you can enjoy during the summer, now is the time to get going.

A full scale renovation—anything requiring demolition—will take 16 to 24 weeks, if not more. Do you want a new kitchen or bathroom in time for summer? Now is the time to start. We have a few openings for projects. Schedule your free discovery call today to get your renovation started.

Thinking smaller? We’ve got you covered there too. Design projects that don’t require demolition are generally a shorter turnaround but can still take two or three months for any custom furnishings. And, you still need two to four weeks for planning. There’s no time like the present to get going on making over your home, whether it’s one room or the entire house.

If your are thinking about change but not sure what to do or when to do it an onsite consultation is a good way to beat the winter blues. During the consultation we do an on-site walk through of your space, listen to your challenges and your needs, as well to your vision for upgrading the room. We also share some of our conceptual ideas with you, take measurements, and answer any questions you have. After our time on site has concluded, we return to our office to put together your Full Service Design Proposal. Every proposal includes a vision board and a thorough project outline to give you an overall idea of the budget.
